One of the most asked questions RIGHT NOW is:
"Can I visit with my child during this Crisis?"
According to the County of Los Angeles Public Health Department our Professional Services ARE DEEMED ESSENTIAL though physical visits are not allowed unless everyone is 6' apart. So what kind of visit can I have?
There is a solution and that is virtual monitored visits. Many of our children are going to school via virtual reality, so why not monitored visits? As long as both parents have access to the internet and a phone (either Android/Iphone), tablet or desktop with a web cam a virtual visit can take place.
A virtual visit does not take the place of a personal visit but with the "Stay at Home Order" physical visits makes it impossible for those visits to occur.
Many custodial parents are not comfortable with virtual visits as they do not want to give out their email or phone number to the non-custodial parent, they don't want the non-custodial to see where they are living just a couple of their concerns, however with a Professional Monitor facilitating the virtual visit most all of the custodial concerns can be addressed and handled. Many non-custodial parents are concerned that the custodial parent will be listening in on the visits, while every effort is made to have the custodial parent leave the room there is no guarantee especially for the young children who are unable to navigate the electronics, however this should not stop the non-custodial from doing a virtual visit and this is where your monitor can help facilitate a good visit.
When doing a virtual visit we do encourage the children to wear headphones so that hearing the non-custodial parent is easier, please be rested assured that the monitor will be able to hear all conversations between the child and non-custodial parent during the visit.
We at Grandmas Supervised Visitation Services realize that during the Coronavirus crises that many people are out of work and therefore funds are low. We have put into place reduced fees for visits and intake, and instead of requiring a two hour minimum (for virtual visits) we are only requiring a half hour minimum for visits. Since our services are virtual we can offer our services throughout the USA.
